On Thursday, February 23rd, at the Sacramento Central YMCA, Isaac Gonzalez, a passionate Sacramento Central YMCA Advisory Board Member, will spend his 36th birthday riding a stationary bike in the YMCA lobby for TWELVE HOURS to raise $7,500 as part of a community-wide effort to raise funds for the YMCA’s Y-Assist program; specifically, in support the YMCA’s partnership with St. John's Program for Real Change in which the YMCA provides full scholarships to children at St. John's each summer at no cost.
Additionally, various Sacramento Central YMCA leadership, staff and volunteers will bike alongside Gonzalez to raise additional funds for the Y-Assist scholarship program, and to add some friendly competition and fun to the challenge. Footage will be live streamed throughout the day while donations will are tracked in real-time on a barometer in the Y's lobby.
