Leaders in Training

The Leaders in Training (LIT) program is for students interested in a future working with children. Participants gain job readiness skills, build on what it means to be responsible, and develop character and leadership skills. LIT’s will also work with a team and receive guidance, support and encouragement from counselors. LIT’s will also go through training to become CPR/First Aid certified.

Leaders in training PROVIDES

  • The opportunity for teens to connect with other like-minded participants, and build friendships and self-esteem.
  • A supportive environment for teens to develop leadership skills and realize their potential.
  • Resume-building, job readiness skills, and a sense of social responsibility.

*Please note: Applicants are not guaranteed, teens must go through an informal interview process and be accepted into program by Coordinator


Teens going into 9th or 10th grade in Fall 2019


  • $350 is due at time of registration
  • Financial assistance is available.

Financial assistance is available through Y-Assist. 

Please note: turning in only a Y-Assist application does not automatically reserve a camp spot. If you want to reserve a camp spot while your application is being processed, you must put down camp deposit(s).
