Group Fitness Classes

Group exercise at the Y is about having fun, making friends and getting an energetic and dynamic workout in a positive community. Our programming is designed to offer a variety of classes accommodating every fitness level with supportive instructors by your side.

Group exercise Schedule 

CARDIO AEROBICS

An aerobic dance exercise class made up of choreographed routines, toning, and strength training. Each class includes a warm-up, aerobic segment, descend routine with weights and floor routines including abs, gluts, inner thigh and ending stretch. This class is designed to improve muscular strength, flexibility and cardiovascular fitness.

 
SliverSneakers Classic®

Increase muscular strength and range of movement. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball are offered for resistance and a chair for support. This is a SilverSneakers® classic class.

Co-Ed Core Training

This class gives you the benefits of personal training in a group setting. Develop strength and muscle tone; lower your risk of bone loss; keep on burning fat for hours; and, learn the fundamentals of Core Conditioning.

 
Pilates

Mat exercises to help balance the body, improve motion, and strengthen the body. The exercise is centered on a strong abdomen, deep stretching, and focused breathing.

Water Exercise

Increases aerobic conditioning, muscular strength, and flexibility. Pool is between 84° and 86°.

 
Tai Chi

Strength training through flowing and sustained posture with breathing and concentration.

Gentle Yoga

Gentle yoga is a softer, nurturing, slow-paced, well-supported and relaxing practice. The approach includes carefully orchestrated, graduated movements, and well-measured stretches, including range of motion exercises. Postures may be approached in gradual steps, with plenty of time to focus on breathing and repetition.

 
Women's Only Body Sculpt

This women's only class gives you the benefits of personal training in a group setting. Develop strength and muscle tone; keep on burning fat for hours; and learn the fundamentals of Body Sculpting.
