Join Team Y Run Club – Spring 2019 Program Session…to cheer you on, challenge you, and help you reach your goals. Prepare to complete a 5k (3.1 miles) for the very first time, or train to run a personal best. Whatever your goal is, our Team Y Run Club is here to support you! Team Y Run Club (Spring 2019): Beginner/Intermediate 5K Training Day/Time: Tuesday 6:00am / Thursday 6:30pm* & Saturday 8:00am (Multiple distance options starting from the Y) Duration: 8 weeks  Location: Sacramento Central YMCA  Questions? Please contact Elena Edwards, Health & Wellness Program Director, at eedwards@ymcasuperiorcal.org  LOCAL RACE: NO EXCUSES 5K  - MAY 27TH @ LAND PARK Program Details:  Orientation/Informational Meeting: Tues 4/2 at 6:30pm @ Sacramento Central YMCA April 2nd – May 23rd 8 weeks of expert training 2 group workouts per week + Sloppy Moose* fun runs Experienced coaches and mentors to support you along the way Daily training schedules available (upon request) Education on proper form, pacing, fueling, stretching, and more!  Suggested Activity Level Prior to Start of Training  No previous exercise experience is required. We recommend that you check with your doctor before starting any fitness program. Non-members will be required to sign a participation waiver. Registration Details  Please register for Team Y Run Club by April 2nd at ymcasuperiorcal.org or Member Services Does not include registration for the No Excuses 5k race ($35 per Adult entry)  *We will be joining our friends at the Sloppy Moose running club for 3-mile fun runs on Thursday nights. This is a great chance to practice covering 3 miles at whatever pace is comfortable for you, then socializing with a great group of runners afterwards.  Click to register.
