Coaches Corner

Together we can make a difference

Do You:
  • Have a passion for supporting and developing youth?
  • Love sports?
  • Possess organizational skills, patience and dependability?
  • Have a sound character, strong morals, values and personal ethics?

If you answered YES to the questions above, then please consider becoming a coach at the Y! Join our next coaches meeting (schedule below) to learn more.

Our volunteer coaches are cause-driven role models with a passion and enthusiasm for ensuring that kids have a positive, encouraging and fun experience with sports and teamwork. YOU can make the difference!

Coaches can leave a lasting impression on children long after the season is over. Without volunteer coaches, we would not be able to offer our quality Youth Sports programs. The majority of our coaches are parents with a similar philosophy to the Y: sportsmanship and fun are primary goals; winning and losing are secondary. The responsibilities of a coach include promoting the Y philosophy to players, making sure all children get equal playing time and ensuring that you yourself, are a model of sportsmanship and fair play.

All coaches must attend a coaches meeting prior to each season.

Mandatory Meetings

All meetings are held from 6:00 - 7:00 PM at Sacramento Central YMCA
