In partnership with UCD Health and Campus, we are now offering YMCA Learning Labs – a safe place for students to attend distance learning provided by the child’s school, but supervised by Y staff so parents can have peace of mind while working.

This program is for children in Kindergarten – 6th Grade with a parent or guardian who works for UCD. In addition to Distance Learning Support we offer After School Enrichment for the out of school times. After School Enrichment time is used to  help develop a feeling of inclusivity and a family atmosphere. Enrichment time is screen free and focuses on the healthy development of the whole child, spirit, mind and body. During Enrichment Time children will work together to feel valued, included and empowered to be their BEST self. After School Enrichment includes Healthy Snack and Brain Breaks, Physical Education for Large and Fine Motor Development, Social Emotional Learning, Character Development based on The Y Core Values of Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility as well as creative lessons in Art and STEM.

Outside of remote school curriculum, the Y will also provide arts and STEM activities, physical activity and outdoor education, giving children a chance to have healthy social time with others in a socially-distant environment.

At the Y, we are committed to providing an enriching experience that facilitates a child’s cognitive, social, physical and emotional growth. In collaboration with schools, The YMCA provides parents with an alternative to learning from home with our Full Day Program with Distance Learning Support. Children are provided a quiet space to log on to their classrooms and get assistance as needed by trained and knowledgeable staff. YMCA After School Enrichment ensures that each child’s time is spent creatively and constructively, helping children grow physically, mentality, and spiritually while emphasizing personal development and YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect & responsibility.

While our programs are based on the unique needs and interests of the communities in which they reside, each of our Y’s has one thing in common: our people. The volunteers, staff, members and donors of the Y are all united by a deep commitment to strengthening community and our mission ensuring that everyone, regardless of age, income, or background, has the opportunity to reach their fullest potential.

Y-Assist provides funding for families that otherwise cannot afford care. Funds have been donated to the Y through our Annual Support Campaign to help those in need. Participants must apply and can receive up to 50% off of fees. We also offer a 10% sibling discount.
