The President's Council promoted the Youth Fitness Test in 1966 to help inspire kids to stay active and healthy. The Fitness Test has changed a lot over the years, inspiring us to create a challenge that we hope encourages you to embrace your youth and reminisce!
Join us in this challenge in person or on your own! If you are in person you will be motivated by one of our Trainers to complete each activity in the challenge.
Young Adults, Adults, and Seniors compete in your age bracket to win a specialized YMCA Back Pack; while each participant will earn a color-changing water bottle.
Activities to Track:
- Sit-ups (as many as possible)
- Push-ups (as many as possible)
- Pull-ups (as many as possible)
- a 30-foot "shuttle run" (timed 5 minutes)
- one-mile run
