The YMCA of Superior California welcomes volunteers in all areas of our association. Duties range in responsibility from reading to our preschool students to coaching youth sports to greeting members at our front desk. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, we can work together to find a placement that fits your availability, personality and interests.
The Sacramento Central YMCA is running a volunteer program called Togetherhood. This program gives Y members a way to get to know people and strengthen our community through volunteerism. The program is led by a committee of Y members that decides on projects and carries out at least four service projects per year. Our staff team nominated you for this committee.
Provide leadership and support to group activities and programs by coaching Youth Sports, aiding in our member services, supporting healthy living programs, helping out at one of our camps, and assisting with one of our youth development programs.
Help to raise the funds to ensure that YMCA programs are open to everyone regardless of economic circumstances, while gaining valuable leadership and community building experience. Volunteer opportunities are available for the annual support campaign as well as various capital campaigns.
Help to plan, promote and run events that strengthen the community. Events such as Healthy Kids Day, Senior Health Fair, and S'moresfest are just some of the ways for you to help the Y strengthen the foundations of community. Learn more about YMCA special events here.
Provide leadership to the YMCA through membership on a Center Board, Board of Directors, or one of the associated committees.
