The Cutest Workout of the Summer
Every summer, we look forward to bringing one of our community's favorite seasonal traditions back to the YMCA: Kitten Yoga.
In partnership with the Sacramento SPCA, these special classes combine movement, mindfulness, and plenty of playful kitten cuddles for an experience that leaves participants smiling long after class ends. While the kittens roam, play, and interact with participants, they also gain valuable socialization that helps prepare them for adoption into loving homes.
At the YMCA of Superior California, we believe that health is about so much more than exercise. It's about reducing stress, fostering meaningful connections, and creating opportunities for people to improve their overall well-being. Kitten Yoga is a perfect example of that philosophy in action. Participants enjoy the physical and mental health benefits of yoga while experiencing the joy that comes from spending time with animals: all in a welcoming, community-centered environment.
Our partnership with the Sacramento SPCA reflects what we value most: working together to make a greater impact. By combining our missions, we're able to offer a unique program that promotes healthy living, supports animal welfare, and brings new people together through a shared experience.
Each class also serves a greater purpose. Proceeds benefit both the YMCA of Superior California and the Sacramento SPCA, helping both nonprofit organizations continue serving our community. Every registration supports programs that strengthen youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility at the YMCA while also helping provide care and find loving homes for animals through the Sacramento SPCA.
Year after year, Kitten Yoga continues to grow in popularity, expanding classes to multiple YMCA locations, introducing new participants to both organizations, and creating lasting memories for families, friends, and animal lovers alike.
We are grateful to the Sacramento SPCA for their continued partnership and to everyone who joins us each summer. Together, we're creating healthier people, happier pets, and a stronger community for all.
