I am excited to announce that the YMCA of Superior California will be adding a 4th wellness branch to our association. Rollingwood Athletic Club in Fair Oaks was graciously donated to us by Darla and Patrick Flanagan and will begin transitioning to a YMCA facility on May 1st, 2022.
The facility sits on 7 acres and boasts 12 lighted tennis courts, indoor and outdoor heated pools, indoor and outdoor fitness space, group cycling and group exercise studios, personal training space, massage rooms, and many other amenities. We are excited to add such a great facility to our association.
A benefit of being a member of the YMCA is that you are able to use other YMCAs, not just locally, but throughout the nation. All you need to do is to show them our YMCA membership card. Once scanned in you are able to use the facility. Some areas may need reservations or registration, so be sure to check out their website before you go for schedules and more information. We are thrilled to add this benefit to your membership.
We will continue communicating more about this new branch, its offerings and the programs that it has to offer. In the interim, I have attached a list of FAQ’s to try and answer any questions that you may have about the facility.

Answers to some questions that you may have…
What is the Rollingwood Athletic Club? Rollingwood is a private fitness club in Fair Oaks California (9373 Winding Oak Dr. Fair Oaks, Ca. 95628). Their 7 acre property boasts tennis, pickleball, swim and an array of other fitness programs and activities. You can learn more about their facility here https://rollingwoodclub.com/
Do my membership benefits apply to this facility? Yes, your existing membership benefits apply to this facility like any of our other branches. There are however specific program at the facility that you would have to enroll for and pay for separately from your monthly membership dues.
Will there be a change to my membership dues? There are currently no changes to your monthly membership or program fees at this time.
What are the new branches hours?
Monday thru Friday (5:00am – 7:00pm)
Saturday (7:00am – 7:00pm
I thought the Y was a not for profit? We are, and will continue to be. With this donation we will be transferring the formerly private club into a not for profit. It will run under the same rules and regulation any not for profit must adhere to. We will be fundraising there so that anyone who wants to participate in membership and/or programs.
Will adding another branch put a financial hardship on the YMCA? No, this branch has been operating in a positive financial position. While there are some immediate investments in the new facility, like signage, overall this facility will not be a hardship. Better yet this addition helps us reach new members, new communities and helps us spread the mission of the YMCA.
Why would someone donate a branch to the YMCA? In short Darla and Patrick Flanagan have big hearts and care about the people in that community. They were unable to continue to run the center, so looked for an expert in the field who could continue all the wonderful programming they have been offering there. They decided the YMCA was the best organization to continue the good work.
