At the YMCA, Early Learning is the cornerstone of a bright future. Our programs provide a nurturing and engaging environment where children’s curiosity, imagination, and love of learning can flourish.
Our experienced teachers guide children through a comprehensive curriculum that promotes social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. Activities include STEM exploration, language and literacy, art, music, and movement, giving young learners the tools to succeed in school and beyond.
Through play, discovery, and guided learning, children develop confidence, creativity, and essential skills for lifelong success—all while building friendships and having fun in a safe, supportive space.

About Early Learning
The Yolo County YMCA Early Learning Program provides high-quality, low-to-no-cost childcare and early education for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years. Our programs equip children with the skills, confidence, and support they need for a lifetime of learning, tailored to each child’s unique needs.
We take a holistic approach, supporting the entire household to ensure each child thrives. Our team of teachers, parents, center directors, and specialists work together to provide individualized care and guidance.
We partner with local school districts, mental health services, and community organizations to connect families to critical resources that strengthen overall well-being.
