Babysitting Certification Classes: Offered at the Sacramento Central YMCA
Are you ready to become the best babysitter in your neighborhood? Our comprehensive Babysitting Certification Class is perfect for young people aged 11-16 who want to learn safe and responsible childcare. Led by two certified American Red Cross Instructors, this course covers essential childcare skills, leadership, and pediatric CPR/first aid. Upon successful completion, students will earn an American Red Cross Babysitting Certification.
Learn How To:
- Supervise children and infants
- Perform basic child-care skills
- Choose safe, age-appropriate games and toys
- Handle bedtimes effectively
- Identify safety hazards and prevent injuries
- Care for common injuries
- Communicate effectively with parents
- Respond to emergencies
- Perform pediatric CPR and first aid
